(CEP News) Frankfurt - Euro zone manufacturing activity declines slowed in March after falling at record speeds in February, suggesting that the worst has passed in terms of contraction.
On Wednesday, Markit Economics reported that the euro zone manufacturing purchasing managers index rose modestly to 33.9 in March after falling to an all-time low 33.5 in February, reflecting that the contraction in manufacturing activity had eased.
Advance estimates had suggested a slightly better reading of 34.0 for the month.
